Spurs stomp Mavs

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Mavericks without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. The Spurs dominated, they took the lead in the third quarter and never gave it up. Tony Parker came up big for the Spurs, he came out on fire, he had 18 points in the first quarter and finished the game with 37 points and 12 assists. The Mavericks got out played in every face of the game, Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle said the Mavs got "About 42 minutes of a [butt]-kicking," "We threw about six, tough minutes at them in the second quarter. The rest of the time, they dominated the game with their disposition and how they played." Everyone in a Mavs uniform seemed to agree,

"From the start to the end, we weren't us today," guard J.J. Barea said. "They played harder. They did everything better. They outplayed us in every aspect of the game."

"It's a gift that Duncan didn't play, and we didn't take it," forward Dirk Nowitzki said. "It's a frustrating, disappointing loss.

"It was just an embarrassing effort."

Mavericks vs Celtics

The Mavs will face the Boston Celtics who are the reigning NBA Champions at noon on ABC this Sunday. The Mavs are coming off a great win over the Detroit Pistons on friday, and the Boston Celtics have won 7 in a row including a 10 point win over the Orlando Magic.

"Boston may be the best team in the league," coach Rick Carlisle said. "You could make that argument. They're one of the top two or three, for sure."

Lets hope the REAL Dallas Mavericks show up and show the league that their in this for the long run.

Mosley Dominates!!

That shows how much I know about boxing. I understand that I was wrong in my prediction and I give Mosley all the credit, he fought an outstanding fight from start to finish. Mosley won by KO in the 9th round, even though it should have ended in the 8th round since Margarito's corner wanted to stop the fight. Margarito is a warrior he didn't want to quit he would rather get knocked-out then to quit and that's a sign of a warrior.

Mosley at 37 years-old came in and looked great, he came in to the fight with passion, he dominated the entire fight. He had a great game plan, his hand speed is still one of the greatest in boxing today, and he established the tone of the fight and never let Margarito get into his comfort zone. On the other hand Margarito seemed lost, margarito said "today just wasn't my day,"

“I felt I was boxing pretty good. The one thing about the Mexicans is they always come to give you a good fight.”Mosley said.

Margarito vs Mosley

Tonight Antonio Margarito will face future Hall of Famer Shane Mosley. Margarito will go in on a high note after his win over Miguel Cotto in July of 2008, Mosley will also enter the ring with a 12th round KO victory over Ricardo Mayorga. If i have to choose a winner it would be Antonio Margarito, I just think that he has an unmatched will power, he wont give up, he wont quit, he showed it against Cotto and I think that he's a boxer thats on the rise. "You have to be Patient. I'm just going yo keep winning my fights and I'll be the last man standing." Margarito said. The Fight will be on HBO, tune in this should be a great fight.
